Brushes from Insomiac BrushesI personally feel that chinese new year celebration is quite predictable such that you walk down the street and ask anyone about what happened during new year they would tell you the same thing so as for what i do for chinese new year, let me briefly explain it out. On the very first day of the new year, i went to my maternal grandmother house to celebrate as usual. You must be wondering why is it that my family go to my paternal grandmother house first instead of the chinese tradition of going to the paternal side on the first day of new year. Yup, the reason is because my paternal family lives in malaysia. ok, then let me continue with what happened. Then when i reached there, i started to wish my relative , happy cny and that sort of greeting.And then we chatted and chatted about things like, study, and when the day turns dark, we started playing with card till late night and in the end went home and end the day.
This year is a special year for me as this would be my turning point of my life cause if i do well, i would get a appealing life however if it turns out another way, i would lead a very very hard life.As for my targets, resolution and expectation for the year 2008 i am still half way through but however most importantly is to first get a fantastic result for my o level before i could plan for the others things. Ok, as for what i aim for, firstly, i aim to get a grade about 20 for my L1R4 so that i could get into a pretty good course in any polytechnic but however i must also say that this grade of 20 is not that fantastic either . But for me personally, i feel that it is still quite acceptable already. I would like to do this because only by doing this my parents could be proud of me and could talk about me during any gathering when others ask about. Hmms, i think that it is about all i have in my first resolution already. Secondly, i hope to lead a enjoyable year with people living happily and also personally hope that it would be a very appealing year for me. So to conclude my resolution for this brand new year 2008, i hope that i could achieve what i first aim out to be......
Hmms, i think i had spent my holiday with a lot of interesting event such as trips to places, shopping, playing pool and many more exciting event. However, if i were to choose a most interesting event that happened to me to recount on, i would choose the trip to Malaysia. For me, the trip to Malaysia during the year end holiday was a yearly affairs, because i have a grandmother of my paternal family that live there and thus my dad would get us to go over to visit her and my other relative. When i was told that i have to go, i always feel bored as i would have to put down whatever that is here and had to go over to Malaysia. However, when i reach there, i would always feel as though i am taking a roller coaster of event that surprise me and wanting more. During my few days there, my uncle would play a very good host and thus i would always get to enjoy or rather experience the urban life there. For me, i feel that the camping trip at Malaysia was the most interesting event that happen to me as we got to bond ourselves closer and chat about what happen in the year. But as every one knows happy times always fly, and after a few more days and i am back to Singapore . Hmms, i feel that this trip was the most interesting event in my holiday and was also a memorable one and i am starting to wonder what interesting event would be awaiting me next year!…
THIS WAS THE LAST WEEK OF THE HOLIDAYS, this week I took out my time to go on a holiday to Malaysia with my parents. Though I go there often, but I still enjoyed the trip to Malaysia as I would go to different part of Malaysia during different trips. This trip, my parents decided to bring me to genting. When I first heard of this I was very happy, as genting is a nice place to relax. After I went there, true enough, it was a place everyone hopes to be in. genting is a place for all ages as the kids and teenagers could go to the theme park while the parents or rather the adults could go into the casino or even go and shop. During this trip, I went to the theme park with them, I tried many games such as the roller coaster and the fun-kart. At the start, I did not dare to take the biggest roller coaster but after my parents encourage me, I pluck up my courage and went to try it. It was actually quite alright though it has two 360 degree turn. After I tried, I find it fun and a couple more round. And at the end of the day, I told to myself that IF YOU DON’T TRY YOU WOULD MOT KNOW WHAT ‘S AWAITING YOU.
THIS IS THE THIRD WEEK, during this week I told to myself that the week should be only for my study. I start off the week doing my revision, as I was weak in my POA I decided to start on it first. I done the model question in the textbook and also I put in about 3 straight hours on it. Though it was real tough but then I managed to still follow. Then at the end off the two days revision, I started to give myself a test. And true enough my hard work pay off I done quite well but there are still room for improvement. Then the next day, I start it by doing my English assignments, though it is a lot but then I still do mostly all off the work. And at last I completed it, as there is a saying going, YOU NEVER FAIL UNTIL YOU STOP TRYING.
A WEEKS HAD FLED PASS, this was the second week, during this week I spent my time working for my auntie. I went to help her as her company were looking for students working part-time for three days. I took up this job as I would like to have a taste of working and also I can earn some money instead of asking it from my dad. At the start, I find it very difficult to do the work, sometimes even wanting to walk off. But whenever I wanted to do this, I would have the push off or rather the determination to carry on as, if I stop now I would be not only irresponsible but also be a person who give up easily. After the intensive work, I at last done it. I felt that this job was alright overall, and felt that money isn't easy to earn. And at the very least my hard work pay off and there is a saying going YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
MY JUNE HOLIDAY HAS JUST STARTED, and during the first week of the holiday, I went with my family or rather my parents to collect my report book from my form teacher. At first, when I just reached the school, my heart were racing in a top speed as I was quite excited and also scared. And when I first saw my report book, I was utterly disappointed as I has clinched only position number 19. Though, my parents scolded me but then at that moment , instead of being angry with them , I was totally stunt and shocked as I started off in this school with a good result. Then after that when I went home, I was doing a kind of soul searching. I had done that as I was very sad and I would like to find the cause of this result. After a couple of hours, I came up with a conclusion that I had no one to blame but me. And that I had also decided to work double hard as FAILURE IS NOT THE END BUT A DELAY TO SUCCESS.
Hi, today i will post to you something more on the career. Few days ago, on 2nd march my school brought us to suntec city for a career seminar. This seminar is mostly for students and also for those who are looking for a job. My school therefore brought us there because they would want us to see what it does take to get our dream job. In my previous blog i talk about i wanted to be a doctor, but then i could not find much information about the job as a doctor. So I would like to tell you more about the job of a policeman and fireman instead. I have learned about more things such as the qualifications, job scope, long-term prospects and the relevance of the career in the next decade. And also the most important of all is whether the job still relevant in the next decades. As for the policeman the qualification is just either a 5 olevel or a nitec.As for the prospect of this job is that you would have a chance to be promoted from a corporal to a sergeant, officer and then lastly a inspector. And as for the job scope for the job you can become a CID, a traffic police or just a normal police. And lastly the most important is that it is said to be relevant in the next decade as people would still commit crimes and we would then need the police to uphold law and order in the nation. That is what I wanted to be for my first choice and another choice is to be a fireman. Its qualification is to obtain a pass in ippt and also obtain at least 2'a' & 2'ao' levels including a pass in general paper (gp) in one sitting. As for the prospect of the job is that firstly a fire& rescue specialist, section commander, deputy rota commander and other more. Lastly from my point of view, i think that it's would still be relevant as in future there may still be a fire breaking out. Lastly, I would like to add that i have benefited a lot from the seminar such as i now have more understanding what it's take to be a policeman.
My ambition is to be a doctor or rather also police.As for being a doctor , it's qualification is very hard as you still need to get a relevant degree.As for being the police however, it's qualification is eaiser as you only need to be a singaporeans ,get a 5 o level credit or a nitec and physically fit and thats all.But however i cannot even hit the qualification, as i do not seem to execl in my studies. The rank starts in sequeal from corporal , sergeant , senior sergeant and other more.The highest is senior police officer, however if you want or aim to get this position you would have to be a police officer first and moreover the officer must have not only a degree , he or she must also have a good sense of leadership.Lastly, i would make a point that to be a police , the rank is not as important , its the life you save that makes a difference.
A video was shown to us during the english language lesson, its title was the 'heartware'.As you can see,the video is about national education and also a little bit of career choice.This video also show us that most singaporeans have dream to go overseas to either pursue their studies aboard or bring their occupation to a higher level.I personally feel that working aboard or studying aboard is alright as long as they still feel amnd belong in singapore and as a singaporean.
I am from Singapore of course. As for myself nothing much to say just that like to go out to slack and also like to play computer games. Normally, when school end I would go to the block with a few of my close friends to slack till at night around dinner time. Whenever I reach home at night instead of reading the papers or do some revision I would tune in to the blockbuster show or watch some comedy show so that I can distressed. As for my primary school , I came from a school named AI TONG school. And for now, i am currently secondary 3 and in a school named CHONG BOON secondary. As for my favorite sports games, i likes to play bowling and also likes badminton. My CCA in school is badminton and NCC but then now the badminton disbanded. And the NCC kind of boring so nowadays only once in a blue moon i go. But for my result , it is not very good it is just a passing border line case. So this year I decided to put in my 101 percent best in my studies so that I would not let my parent, friends and teachers down. =)
